The report also includes potential treatment recommendations and a differential diagnosis where applicable. All fees are discussed transparently prior to booking.

What’s included?

This consists of a standardised clinical diagnostic interview which takes approximately 2 hours to complete.
Where possible, a trusted person who knows you well will join you in the interview. Documents which will aid in the interview are school reports and work performance reviews.

The assessment is conducted using psychometric tools that will assess executive functioning, mood, adaptability and functionality.
These assessments are done digitally on your phone, tablet or computer. -
You will be supplied with a comprehensive psychological assessment report base on the Assessment findings which will include differential diagnoses and recommendations.

A 50 minute consultation where you are provided with detailed feedback on the report findings using a neuro-affirmative approach.
It is important to note that completing an assessment does not guarantee a clinical diagnosis.

Individual Telehealth Therapy
One-on-one therapy sessions for individuals 18 years and older. Children below the age of 18 seeking therapy will first be screened to determine the suitability of therapy via video-conferencing.

Periodic consultations of 50 minutes duration focused on authentic process based therapeutic interventions.
Parenting Support
Therapy sessions for parents as a unit or individual with the intent of creating a stronger foundation for a child’s development and well-being. The goal is to empower parents to be the best support system possible by learning how to respond to their child’s emotional and cognitive needs while managing their own needs. This will overall create a loving, stable and consistent home environment.

Your first consultation will consist of a psychiatric clinical interview and in depth family structure enquiry, giving us the opportunity to get to know each other, and build an understanding of you and your parenting needs. This creates the foundation for the therapeutic process.

Periodic consultations of 50 minutes duration focused on authentic process based therapeutic interventions.
Parent support is tailored to your family needs. Understanding your child’s diagnosis, learning to build executive functioning, learning discipline, age-appropriate communication and behavior or learning what type of parent you want to be.
Rebates and Funding
Medicare
Valid GP referrals may qualify for a maximum of 10 therapy sessions per calendar year under the Medicare Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP)
You will receive a Medicare rebate of $145.25 per session.
Private Health
Private health insurance may cover your psychological services and provide a rebate based on your level of cover. Private health insurance cannot be used if your Medicare Mental Health Care Plan is active.
Please note that it is the client’s responsibility to claim their medical insurance rebate.
NDIS (Self-Managed Plans, and Plan-Managed)
NDIS participants accessing our service are billed in line with the NDIS price limit. Fees are subject to change as the price limits change. Note that Meaning Matters Psychology is not a registered NDIS Provider.
DVA
DVA participants accessing our service are billed in line with the latest DVA Clinical Psychologist Schedule of Fees. Fees are subject to change as the Schedule of Fees changes.
